Moston & Mono – Can’t Stop

Video for Can´t Stop was filmed in 24 hours in a studio of University of Lapland and Rovaniemi City Library. The library is designed by Alvar Aalto, a legendary Finnish architect, and it has a lot of cool architectural details and interesting surfaces to project on. There are no post production effects in the video. All visible light in the video is produced by a video projector, so the video is in one sense “organic”.

Aku Meriläinen, the director says: “This video is about exploring the possibilities of real-time spacial media combined with more traditional linear media. In this case audio reactive visuals were filmed and ‘forced’ into a music video. In result we mapped the projector’s light on different objects and a human figure.”

Can´t Stop salutes both to 90′s house and early Get Physical releases. The same more or less abstract themes are repeating in the video. The idea was to create a ‘claustrophobic feeling of a small club in Berlin’.

The video was shot with RED One camera and Canon 5D Mark 2.
